Summer Solstice

This image of a wild brown bear was shot around midnight, from a hide deep in the boreal forest of eastern Finland, close to the border with Russia. In mid summer there is virtual 24 hour daylight here, so you can almost shoot throughout the night. If you can stay awake for ten days in a row that is, because that's how long I spent in this area to photograph bears.
