Spanish Eyes

This is the same location as Ocean Cathedral, so the same caption is more or less the same. This is one of the most dangerous shoots I have ever done. To get to this location we had to walk on the beach for some 15 minutes along a steep rock cliff. I wanted the waves to reach all the way into the open cave to smooth out the sand and remove my footsteps, so we had to time our visit precisely with the incoming tide. There was literally no way to go.

As soon as I made the shot, we had to run back to the only exit from the beach to not get trapped by the ocean. Scary stuff. The main rock stack was light painted during the exposure by Daniella.
